Spiel zum Film angekündigt!

Bereits Anfang des Jahres hat der Publisher Immanitas Entertainment mit "Ong-Bak Tri: Das Videospiel" ein offizielles Game zum 2013 erscheinenden Film angekündigt. Das Spiel wird von den Hive-Studios entwickelt und soll als Multiplattform-Titel für PC, Konsolen und Smartphones (als Download) noch diesen Winter erscheinen...

Story & Gameplay:

"Ong Bak Tri" setzt als klassischer Plattformer auf drei Kern-Elemente: Packende Fighting-Action, beeindruckende Freerunning-Sequenzen und cineastische Quick-Time-Action-Events. "Ong-Bak Tri" wird als 2.5-D-Sidescroller realisiert, angetrieben von der Unity Engine. Für das Spiel habe man eng mit den Machern der Filme zusammengearbeitet, insbesondere mit Director Thossaporn Poonnart sowie Stunt-Choreograph Panna Rittikrai. Dem Hauptcharakter wiederum lieh Tony Jaa sein Äußeres. Das war es dann aber auch schon wieder mit den Informationen zum Spiel.

Ersten Screenshots lässt sich aber entnehmen, dass in erster Linie wohl nicht gegen normale Menschen gekämpft wird, sondern Monster und andere Kreaturen im Vordergrund stehen. Das Punktekonto und der Kombozähler dürfte dabei auf freischaltbare Moves/Gegenstände deuten.

lar Ong Bak movie franchise, will be published exclusively by Immanitas Entertainment this winter worldwide for PC, consoles and smartphones.

Berlin (19th November 2012) – The Ong Bak franchise started its path to international renown in 2003 with the release of its first movie, Ong Bak, which became an instant international hit and catapulted Tony Jaa, the movie’s protagonist, to martial arts stardom. Since then another two movies have been released with a new feature film currently being developed. Now for the first time the immensely popular world of Ong Bak finds its way to the PC, consoles and smartphones with “Ong Bak Tri”, which is being developed by Immanitas Entertainment’s partner Studio HIVE in Thailand.

Ong Bak Tri features three core elements of gameplay: intense fighting action, impressive free running sequences and highly cinematic quick-time action events. The game itself is presented as a 2.5D side-scroller, with gorgeous graphics running on the Unity Game Engine. One of the most important goals for Ong Bak Tri was to deliver an authentic Ong Bak experience. Tony Jaa has lent his likeness to the game character and the development itself was closely accompanied by the great minds behind the movies, in particular the movie director, Thossaporn Poonnart, and the original creator and master choreographer, Panna Rittikrai.

The game is entering the final stages of development and Immanitas Entertainment is currently working closely with Studio HIVE to prepare the game for its international release this winter. “We are really excited to be working with such an internationally renowned brand”, comments Christian Sauerteig, CEO of Immanitas Entertainment, “we are confident that we will be able to deliver a game that will appeal to both gamers who love great action games as well as fans of the franchise”.
