Neuer Puzzle-Plattformer angekündigt!

Bereits im April diesen Jahres hat der Publisher Focus Home Interactive einen neuen Puzzle-Plattformer namens "Contrast" angekündigt. Wie inzwischen bekannt wurde, wird das Spiel neben dem PC (via Steam) auch für Xbox 360 (via XBLA) sowie die PlayStation 3 und PlayStation 4 (via PSN) erscheinen. "Contrast" entsteht derzeit beim kanadischen Entwicklerstudio Compulsion Games und soll ab dem 15. November 2013 erhältlich sein. Der PS4-Release erfolgt am 29. November 2013. Zudem wird es auch eine Retail Collector's Edition geben - nähere Details hierzu sollen demnächst folgen...

Story & Gameplay:

Mit dem Download-Titel "Contrast" vereinen die Macher eine 3D-Fantasy-Welt mit einer geheimnisvollen 2D-Schattenwelt. In "Contrast" erkunden die Spieler eine surreale Traumlandschaft der 1920er Jahre, die von Varieteekünstlern und Film-Noire inspiriert ist. Dabei schlüpfen sie in die Rolle von Dawn, der imaginären Freundin des kleinen Mädchens Didi. Dawn hat die besondere Fähigkeit, von der 3D-Welt in die parallele Schattenwelt zu wechseln. In "Contrast" müssen die Spieler in der 3D-Welt unter anderem Lichtquellen und Gegenstände manipulieren, um die Schattenwelt zu beeinflussen und das Weiterkommen zu sichern.

Hier nochmal der Auszug aus der englischen Pressemitteilung: "In CONTRAST, experience and explore a surreal 1920's dreamscape, set in a vaudevillian-inspired, film-noir styled backdrop. In a world full of performance, magic, intrigue and deception, the player takes on the role of Dawn, the imaginary friend of a little girl, Didi. Every kid's imaginary friend is special, and Dawn is no exception. She has the power to shift from the reality of the vibrant game stage into the shadowy parallel world. Gamers will be challenged to unravel the drama by leveraging light sources and manipulating real-world objects to affect the shadows placement, depth, height and overall weighting to solve mind-bending puzzles.

Delve into CONTRAST, a world filled with incredible atmosphere, amplified by a rich cabaret soundtrack and professional voice actor cast. Use Dawn's special abilities to uncover the mysteries of this world, and help Didi unravel the web of secrets, experienced through the eyes of a child."

Offizielle Website & Frische Screens!

Compulsion Games und Focus Home Interactive haben inzwischen die offizielle Webseite zum kommenden Plattformer "Contrast" online gestellt. Dort findet ihr jede Menge Informationen zum Spiel, dessen Geschichte sowie den Charakteren.

Passend dazu wurden auch neue Bilder veröffentlicht, welche die Wartezeit bis November verkürzen sollen...

"Die heutigen Bilder erzählen von Didis Abenteuer, einem mutigen kleinen Mädchen, das zusammen mit seiner Mutter Kat lebt. In der Stadt macht das Gerücht die Runde, dass Didis Papa Johnny wieder da ist, um für irgendetwas Großes die Werbetrommel zu rühren – ein Varieté, das ebenso unterhaltsam wie ambitioniert ist. Doch dazu braucht Johnny die Hilfe vom Großen Vincenzo, des berühmten Zauberers, um als Zugpferd die Massen anzulocken. Ohne Vincenzos Hilfe würde Johnny große Schwierigkeiten bekommen, denn sein Plan steht nicht gerade unter einem guten Stern. Die vier neuen Screenshots zeigen Johnnys Zirkus und Vincenzos Werkstatt, wo viele wichtige Szenen in Didis Geschichte spielen."
