Wie nun der D3 Publisher bekannt gibt, wird man eine Umsetzung der Handheld Version von Bangai-O namens "Bangai-O HD: Missile Fury" via Xbox Live Arcade veröffentlichen...
Story & Gameplay:
"Bangai-O HD: Missile Fury" wird ein Mix aus Shooter- und Puzzleelementen, das in bewährter 2D-Ansicht gespielt wird. Das Spiel bietet auf der Xbox 360 mehr als 100 Levels, wobei danach noch lange nicht Schluss sein muss. Mittels Level-Editor könnt ihr eigene Stages erstellen, die ihr anschließend auf die Server laden und anderen Spielern zugänglich machen könnt. Über weitere Funktionen die das Spiel enthalten wird wurde noch nicht gesprochen.
Die ursprüngliche Version von Bangai-O erschien seinerzeit für das N64 in einer Auflage von nur 10.000 Modulen und ausschließlich in Japan. Anschließend wurde das Spiel aus dem Hause Treasure (Ikaruga) auf Segas Dreamcast portiert und weltweit veröffentlicht, bevor mit Bangai-O: Spirits im Jahre 2008 eine Fortsetzung für den Nintendo DS folgte.
