Zitat:Hi all,Quelle: www.xboxhacker.net
if anyone interested, i share a modified usbstor.sys i'm using to have the xbox360 Liteon drive recognized under windows.
It should work with all xbox360 dvdroms, not tested.
-------------------------
A modified usb mass storage driver for windows XP which sends 12 00 00 00 24 C0 INQUIRY
A modified plscsi for windows which sends 12 00 00 00 24 C0 INQUIRY when -w switch is used
This works on my cheap USB-to-eSATA adapter, but probably works also for other usb-to-sata adapters (like HDD usb box). It does not work for my cheap usb-to-3in1 (single adapter with 3 ports, IDE,IDE44,SATA) cause seems that this device sends its own inquiry, probably to search for active device on any of the 3 ports).
Connect the adapter with the drive powered, windows will find an usb mass storage device, which will give back an error in device manager.
Manually change the drivers of this not working mass storage device, and force using usbstor360.inf
Now the dvdrom drive is recognized in device manager, if not, probably your usb-to-sata adapter sends its own inquiry and so it's not suitable.
If windows seems to hang or shows a "disc" on the mouse cursor, you have to open and close the drive tray.
Use the provided plscsi.exe to play with atapi CDBs.
-----------------------------
BTW, if anyone has an hitachi to test, this should switch it to modeb
PLSCSI.EXE -v -p -x "E7 48 49 54 30 90 90 D0 01 00 00 00"
Hope it helps
Geremia
