Eidos hat das offizielle Webportal zum kommenden Actionspiel „Battlestations: Pacific“ online gestellt. Bislang steht es allerdings nur in englischer Sprache bereit. Dort findet ihr eine ganze Reihe an Infos zum Szenario im Zweiten Weltkrieg, den Entwickler-Blog, weitere Screenshots und einige Videos.

Naja, nicht ganz... Das ist der Nachfolger zu Battlestations: Midway, was ja ein Arcade-Shooter ist.

Weitere Infos & Trailer!
Wie schon bei der ersten Episode von Entwickler Mithis Entertainment müsst ihr während des 2. Weltkrieges zahlreiche Schlachten schlagen - nur dieses Mal im gesamten Pazifikraum. Auf der Seite der USA bzw. der Japaner dürft ihr 28 Missionen überstehen und strategisch mit über 100 authentischen Einheiten umgehen. Mit dabei sind Bomber, Kamikaze-Flugzeuge, U-Boote und alles, was damals als Kriegsgerät genutzt wurde. Im Gegensatz zu anderen Genrevertretern dürft ihr aber z.B. Flieger selbst steuern und somit direkte Konfrontationen austragen.
Gegenüber Battlestations: Midway verspricht man deutlich bessere Grafiken, einen höheren Grad an Realismus und auch umfangreichere Online-Spielarten mit fünf völlig neuen Modi.

Erste Infos zu DLC!
In einem Interview äußerte sich der Producer des Spiels zu geplanten Addons: Nachdem sich der DLC zum ersten Teil durchaus gut verkauft hat ist dies auch für Battlestations: Pacific geplant, eventuell wird es sogar komplett neue Einheiten und Einzelspieler Missionen als DLC geben.
Als Releasdatum wurde übrigens der 24. April genannt.

Nach Angaben von Publisher Eidos soll Battlestations: Pacific nun am 15. Mai 2009 für XBOX 360 und PC erscheinen.

Mit dem Skirmish-Modus, der für Battlestations: Pacific kommt, kann man mit wenigen Einstellungen immer neue Herausforderungen kreieren. Also sein “persönliches Spiel” fertigen.

Battlestations: Pacific zeigt sich mal wieder - RoJiN - 03.04.2009
H.A.W.X. war euch zu modern? Seit Blazing Angels II wartet ihr eigentlich wirklich mal wieder auf ein zünftiges WWII-Flugzeugballerspiel der arcadigen Sorte? Dann könnt ihr es ja im Prinzip gar nicht mehr erwarten, bis Battlestations: Pacific in den Läden steht. Vielleicht solltet ihr euch die folgenden Videos dann auch besser nicht ansehen, sonst platzt euch noch das Hirn vor Vorfreude.
